Annual Giving is the PTA’s most efficient fundraising program, generating approximately 37% of our fundraising income at a very low cost — less than 1 cent per dollar raised.
Does your company offer corporate matching? Learn more before you contribute. In 2018-19, corporate matching accounted for 56% of our Annual Giving donations, or nearly $50,000!
The Annual Giving campaign helps support all the academic enrichment programs the PTA provides. In 2019-20, the PTA plans to spend about $219,000 on these programs.
This year’s goals are $75,000 raised and 25% participation.
We recommend a minimum donation of $300 per child. Your $300 annual contribution …
… is much less than the cost of last year’s pre-school or childcare,
… is a lot less than the cost a year of coffee at Starbucks,
… can be paid in 10 monthly installments of just $30,
… doubles to $600 if your company matches gifts to non-profit organizations,
… is probably tax-deductible
If you are able to give more, please do. Not all families are able to contribute, but all children need access to academic enrichment and community support to succeed.

Can I seek corporate matching from my employer?
Yes! Please check this list to see if your employer is likely to match and check directly with your employer on the requirements of Corporate Matching. Companies have different policies on whom and how they match their employees’ charitable giving. If you having questions and require assistance, please email giving@wgepta.org.

Do I have to donate the suggested amount?
No. Any amount is appreciated!
Is this to join the PTA?
No. PTA membership is $10 per member and is a separate payment. We encourage all families to become members of the PTA whether or not they contribute to Annual Giving.
Can I make my donation in monthly installments?
Yes. Credit card payments can be divided into monthly and quarterly installments. We now take VISA, MC, AMEX and Discover.
Can I have input into how the money is used?
Yes! Please attend PTA meetings as we seek ways to support academic excellence at WGE.
Can I deduct my donation on my tax return?
Yes, in most cases, but check with your tax adviser. The WGE PTA is a tax-exempt organization under IRS Code 501 (c) (3). WGE PTA Tax I.D. #94-6174790
